The Choral Society

We are delighted to invite parents, Old Churcherians, friends of the College and members of the local community to join the Churcher’s College Choral Society for our Grand Summer Celebration Concert on Saturday 4 July 2026.

The Choral Society will perform alongside our Junior and Senior Choirs as part of a spectacular outdoor concert on a large professional stage in the grounds of Churcher’s College.

The main choral work will be Zimbe! – African Songs in Jazz Style by Alexander L’Estrange, alongside several other choral items towards the end of the concert.

Rehearsals will take place during May and June at Churcher’s College Senior School in Petersfield. As the repertoire will be prepared over a relatively short rehearsal period, some previous choral singing experience is recommended and participants should aim to attend most rehearsals.

Due to stage capacity, the Choral Society will be limited to 60 adult singers. There will be no auditions, but we will aim to create a balanced choir across all voice parts.

Successful participants will be contacted shortly after the deadline.

There is a £30 participation contribution to help cover music and rehearsal costs. Participants will also be expected to hold a ticket for the concert.
